Our Team

Jake Austin, PsyD

Clinician

Jake grew up in rural southeastern Wisconsin and has a passion for making mental health care available to all people. In addition to treating depression and anxiety, his specialty areas include health psychology and older adult issues. He also enjoys working with the mental health challenges facing men and boys today, specifically around suicidality. He also has significant experience working with couples, parents, and families. He prioritizes collaborating with patients and other members of their medical team, especially their primary care provider.

Prior to studying psychology at Antioch University New England, Jake taught middle school and high school students in the Mississippi Delta through Teach For America.  While in the Delta he completed a Masters in Education at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi. His undergraduate studies focused on English and Philosophy at Wheaton College.

In his spare time he enjoys the Wisconsin outdoors in all seasons: cross country skiing, trail running, paddling, and cycling. He’s also a proud girl dad and the owner of a fairly narrow-minded dog named Arlo.
