The first step is getting to know you and agreeing upon what your treatment goals are. This is a collaborative process so your desires and goals for treatment will be prioritized. We usually try to come out of the first or second session with a shared understanding of the problem you are facing and steps you might begin taking to solve it.

We are committed to eliminating transportation issues as a barrier to care. We want mental health available to as many people as possible. Because of that all of our services are offered via Telehealth - there are no in person visits at this time.
Payment
-
Good question. Your out of pocket cost will depend on whether you are using health insurance to pay for services or if you are paying out of pocket. For patients paying through their health insurance, your cost depends on your cost sharing arrangement with your insurance company. We can help you figure this out or you should contact your insurance company directly.
Contact us if you plan to pay out of pocket and we can provide you with a our fee schedule.

Yes, Under the No Surprises Act you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to an estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy. You can ask your care clinician, and any other healthcare provider you go to, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service. The law says that if you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. But you are always welcome to call us if you have questions about your bill or received charges you didn’t expect. Remember to keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Yes. You can use money from both types of health spending accounts – health savings accounts (HSAs) and flexible spending accounts (FSAs) – to pay for sessions. Oftentimes, such health spending accounts have debit cards that can be used to pay for service. You can also pay with cash or your personal credit/debit card and have your health spending account reimburse you.

We use Chicagoland Medical Billing Services (CMBS) to process our insurance claims. They answer all of our questions about medical billing and make sure we get paid. They also contact our clients on our behalf to answer any questions you might have and ensure you know what your cost for care will be after your insurance has paid their part.
